When I started the first hike with a group, I thought I will be able to complete the course?
It was my first trekking after a period as delicate as a pandemic, where cooped up in a confined space we were deprived of our freedom. It was a challenge to myself, that now I can say that I have passed in full. In that occasion, I realized that at the bottom of the trekking is not the only contact with the nature, is the depiction of the evolution of our life. It was clear to me how much this experience would help me in terms of mental and physical to overcome the difficulties of living on a daily basis.
The climbs are the difficulties, the falls are the moments of suffering, the descent and the most serene. The most beautiful thing was to feel wrapped, a protection that is not physical, but emotional and, above all, the collective. Because with you, there are other walkers, the ones that you are next to share the trail, and someone, more near, supports you and encourages you not to give up, making you feel adequate to the occasion.
Without judgment, without primates, without heaviness, but with one common goal: to enjoy the nature and get to the fulfilment of the path with a sense of pleasant satisfaction.
Remember that every journey starts with a first step, and if you have a close friend you feel in it less alone. My only advice is to never look where you started, but only to think about which finish you want and you want to reach.
Good steps to all friends who read it,
Eli
